I’ve been considering a lab diamond for years. I’ve always been “extra” and wanted a large center stone. My wedding ring was moissonite (my choice) and I’ve always kind of resented that I didn’t get a diamond (diamonds are forever). So for years I have been researching lab diamonds and shopping the different online lab diamond retailers. I came across Mikado Diamonds and was a bit skeptical, however I finally decided to take the plunge. I chose a 3.05 carat, G color, radiant cut, VVS2 clarity center lab diamond, with a platinum setting, halo diamonds to accentuate the center stone, and diamond accents on the band. My ring took about 4 weeks to arrive. I was nervous. The ring came in 4 weeks as expected requiring signature for delivery. The ring box is beautiful and classy. The ring is gorgeous. My ring finger is a size 4.25. I feel I may need accent bands for both sides as the center stone is very large (Woop Woop) and the band is almost too dainty for it, but that was my selection. The more I look at it, the more obsessed I become. I’m glad I got my fat rock, and I’m glad it is a real diamond. Also glad it is not a “blood diamond”. Lab diamonds are the exact same thing as real diamonds, just with a laser inscription. I will be buying more diamonds from mikado. I can’t wait to buy more.

Mike and his team were able to work with us to design from scratch the most beautiful and unique engagement rings for my fiancee and myself! Mike was instrumental in helping us choose the right diamonds for our settings online, making adjustments to our designs, and ensuring that the end product was just how we wanted it. We were hesitant to do this entire process online, but Mike set us at ease throughout, and has provided excellent support post-purchase as well. Mikado was great to work with and helped me through the process of purchasing an engagement ring! Very professional and high quality service. The only downside is if you need a ring resized. I wasn't aware there's a 6 month cutoff to getting a resizing done until I reached back out to them when my fiance wanted it a size larger.

I was looking for an engagement ring for my girlfriend at the time and set up a consultation with Heather at Mikado Diamonds. It was an hour long and we looked through around 10 Diamonds, 10 Bands, and a few different settings. I found exactly what my girlfriend wanted and received the ring in 1 month exactly. The service was outstanding! Mike and Heather were able to make the process easy and fun for me! It's been around 6 months since I proposed and my fiance absolutely loves the ring! I got my ring and the wait was worth it. I didn't get exactly what I ordered, I shouldn't have ordered with my phone! It didn't hold my choices, but it's gorgeous! I'm in love with it.

Excellent experience. My husband had a custom wedding set created (design from the website, but due to the stone being a unique size, the pre-made setting wasn’t a possibility). Excellent communication through the entire process. A few options were presented once the stone was chosen and all inquiries were answered within minutes, a few hours tops. He worked with Heather and she’s great. American company and quality products at reasonable prices. Definitely recommend. We were hesitant to go this route, it’s a big purchase to make sight-unseen. It’s absolutely perfect and any anxiety of “worst case scenarios” were unfounded.

My journey to Mikado Diamonds started when my 3 row wedding band split in the back. I began searching, and I mean searching, for a replacement ring and happened to fall upon Mikado. Excellent online options. The lightly tinted blue diamond I originally selected had not been available after we placed our order. Heather reached out and she helped us to find a perfect replacement. It took 4 weeks to get the ring put together. But after anxiously waiting, we are pleased with the results. Highly recommend Mikado Diamonds ❤️.

Mikado's website makes it easy to find just the right ring! They offer more setting choices than just about any other 'create your own' ring site. Mike is easy to communicate with, and obviously loves what he does. As everyone is nervous buying an $$$ piece of jewelry, the quality of the ring I received was excellent, and of course incl. the original IGI certificate for the center stone. Don't hesitate, no matter who you are buying for. My one suggestion is give yourself a day or so after choosing one setting, go through them all again to make sure, ask Mike for his input, then make the leap ♥ I hope the picture I took inspires someone.

When my husband proposed, he utilized his great grandmother’s center Diamond from her engagement ring in my ring.
